Pre-Paid and Post-Paid
Within the toll system, you can choose from two modes of payment:
“Payment in advance” (Pre-Paid mode)
The Pre-Paid mode (payment in advance) is designed for small and medium-sized carriers who do not want to be burdened by a robust contractual relationship, have less frequent or irregular international haulage, do not want to arrange a more administratively demanding bank guarantee and want to keep their total toll expenditures under control within a pre-set limit.
The main advantages of the Pre-Paid mode (payment in advance) include:
- in the Pre-Paid mode, a bank guarantee is not required (no scoring)
- possibility of resolving the issue in person at a POS
- own choice of the credit amount for toll payment
- simple administration of credit top-up – thanks to the Customer Portal and customer services points, you have the opportunity to top up the credit for the given OBU by yourself at any time
- automatic low credit alerts well in advance – minimising the risk of paying fines
“Invoice” (Post-Paid mode)
The Post-Paid mode (Invoice) is designed for medium and large carriers who regularly carry out international transport, travel long distances, and prefer to pay after having used the service.
The main advantages of the Post-Paid mode (invoice) include:
- overview of registered vehicles under one toll account
- no need to keep track of the amount of prepaid credit for individual vehicles
- transparent billing for individual toll domains with the option of
- one payment in the carrier’s chosen settlement currency
